Why Why Love, ep. 21-22 (partial)

I give up! If I watch one more minute of this, I will die of a brain aneurysm.

Wow did that go downhill fast! While I kept wanting to beat Huo Da over the head for not telling anyone about his illness, particularly what with that whole needing a liver donation and having a half-brother thing, the way he treated Jia Di made me almost throw something at the TV. SO MUCH STUPID! WTF were the writers smoking?!

At this point, he's moved in with Yan Shu. By the way, I have absolutely no idea why Yan Shu is going along with this, as it is a) the stupidest plan ever, b) hurtful to basically everyone, c) doesn't do Huo Da any good, and c) did I mention the STUPIDEST PLAN EVER? The whole lying to someone to break up with them so you don't cause them more pain never seemed very smart to me in the first place, and the way Huo Da is going about it guarantees that this is probably actually more painful than him dying in Jia Di's arms.

Also, it is at the point in which even if he is amazingly and miraculously sweet for the rest of the two and a half episodes left of the show, he has pissed me off so much that Jia Di and him ending up together will just make me grumpy. And I'll be pissed off if he dies as well.

BLECH. Stupid writers. WTF?

OH! And! His brother has a congenital heart problem which means the doctors advise him not to donate his liver! (This is from my mom's reports, who seems more invested than I am. MOM: He finally told them he was sick! ME: I'm still not watching!) My mom's prediction is that his brother will donate half of his liver anyway and then DIE TRAGICALLY!

... see, if I hadn't actually really liked the characters before, I would be way more amused and way less pissed off.

OH x 2! Did you see my previous Why Why Love post, which has a description of Huo Yan (the brother with the congenital heart disease) and his Tragic Angst? That had me rolling on the floor laughing.

IT WAS DIFFERENT! Then there was all the terminal illness stuff, and I got kind of confused as to what actually happened.

I sort of forgot the ending though.

Yes, yes! Does Huo Yan donate his liver and die tragically with Yan Shu by his side?

Huo Yan does donate his liver, but doesn't die tragically, or otherwise: YAY!

Yan Shu ends up going back to America I think, and basically tells the Huo family and their issues to go screw themselves: YAY!

Um, Jia Di and Huo Yan hve a sort-of reunion that indicates that he may have survived the operation, but it may very well be Jia Di's crack-addled hallucination or some shit: WTF?!

It all seemed so ambiguous to me.

I did actually like the bulk of it until the last few episodes, which feel like a completely different drama all together. And Mike and Rainie were pretty cute.

Oh, sorry! I totally forgot the ending, except for in a few parts.

I'd suggest that you watch until the end for the sake of completing the series, but the ending is generally very confusing, iirc.

Heeeee! I suspected you must have erased the ending from your brain, as it seems like it is from a different drama all together! I think I will let my mom watch the end and tell me what happens.
