Wait, is Yuuko not injured anymore? Or is that going to come in later because the chapters aren't quite matching up? Or was it in an earlier chapter?
Oh, my head, it hurts so. I cannot wait until the official Del Rey translations come out, as they will a) be more comprehensible and b) contain really funny notes by William Flanagan on how he's just as baffled as we are!
But! Kohane-chan has stood up to her mother! And this being manga, of course she is trying to still make things better for her mother. I am much less annoyed at this than I normally would be, simply because Kohane is so wonderfully solemn and sweet and lost, and because of Watanuki's missing parents' ghostly presence in their absence.
I am a little less worried for her, now that it seems like the big firestorm is over. And we have further evidence of her being Watanuki's double, given that she's now entered into a similar bargain with Yuuko to take away her spiritual powers. I also don't think this will be a bargain that backfires on her, as she's doing it out of love and the desire to honestly help, which seems to distinguish Yuuko's bargains with the Tsubasa crew from her bargains with random people like the bell girl.
So now that I am less worried about Kohane and Watanuki, I am SO WORRIED for Yuuko! No! You cannot do bad things to Yuuko! She must survive so she can lounge around in beautiful clothing, order Watanuki to run random errands, and drink copious amounts of alcohol!
