101 is actually very pretty, which is odd, as in the Bay Area, it is a giant highway lined with strip malls. On the other hand, about four hours in, I was longing for more strip malls and less scenic-ness, as the scenic-ness generally did not come with bathrooms or gas stations.
I think I will not drive anywhere more than an hour away for three months now.

Mon, Apr. 14th, 2008 04:41 am (UTC)It is pretty hot here as well, but not quite as hot as your place. I suspect it's because the nights here are much cooler.
Also also, about a billion bugs committed suicide on my windshield during the drive, and now my car needs to be washed more than ever, which is really saying something.
