Dal Ja's Spring, ep. 14-17
Fri, Mar. 28th, 2008 12:24 amOh kdramas! I forgot how happy you make me!
I watched 14-16 some time ago, so I may have forgotten stuff.
Help! I'm starting to like Mrs. Eom! I should find her completely creepy and stalkery, but she is slowly winning me over with her complete lack of socialization and random tulips.
Though I do also want Representative Eom to get together with his uber-organized assistant, who reminds me of Hawkeye from FMA.
Anyway. Wee Seon Joo predictably decides not to get an abortion, although I'm glad it's her choice, as opposed to Dal Ja and Sae Do stopping her last minute. And the plot thickens! Sae Do is offered the overseas scholarship! I normally would be grumpy with them keeping secrets from each other, but when they find out, they amazingly act like adults instead of storming off in a huff. I love that Sae Do actually waits for Seon Joo to tell him about the baby, and that Seon Joo reacts by telling him he shouldn't feel chained down to her.
And! The ring scene! Digging through the garbage in the rain! Awwwww! And she scares him and comes back with an umbrella and he actually finds the ring!
I am really surprised by how much I like the secondary couple in this drama; for me, it's now up there with Coffee Prince with regard to the depth of the side characters. I am now even fond of boring Representative Eom and his manhwa-reading and Kang Team Manager is made of win.
Oh! And the parental confrontations! OMG awesome.
shewhohashope, your hilarious ep. 16 scene was the one in which Dal Ja sits and wonders if they're actually related and in an incestuous relation and Tae Bong just sort of gawks at her and tells her she's been watching too many dramas, right? That was awesome! I nearly died laughing.
And! They have sex! I grinned the entire way through, because they are just too cute. I love the way Tae Bong does his sneaky little smile when Dal Ja's trying to pretend to be unaffected or trying to play down her excitement.
Oh, and the parents' flashback scene in the vintage clothing and the actors all traipsing around pretending to be twenty years younger had me rolling around on the floor.
I am sure there is a lot more, only I have forgotten. Anyway, yay! I am glad it is not only as good as I remember, but getting better!

Fri, Apr. 4th, 2008 08:13 pm (UTC)The scene was the incestuous relationship/dying of cancer speculation. I'm grinning just thinking about it.
And the Romeo and Juliet parody is my favourite of Dal Ja's little fantasies!
The side characters are the best in any kdrama I've seen since Coffee Prince, even Sae Do grew on me once he and Dal Ja became friends, and Tae Bong's mother and father after their reconciliation. And Mrs. Rep Eom's craziness actually becomes rather affecting, doesn't it?
The Parents' flashback scenes! The wigs and clothing! The same actors pretending to be twenty!
