• My favorite movies are up on the Aqueduct Press blog, where I am supposed to be contributing as a guest blogger and have failed to do so miserably this year.



• The 6th POC in SF Carnival was posted a few days ago. The theme is Sankofa in Space, and delux_vivens does a really incredible job going through the history of racial tension in fandoms. I'm not even sure where to begin; her links go from WEB DuBois to a recent interview on Martha. My favorites were the piece on anti-Black Asian-Americans and shadowfae's post on Tia Dalma, but everything in there is great.

I love Infernal Affairs! I first came across it years ago when I was watching everything Andy Lau had ever been in. Nothing better than lovely angsty double agents.

Me too! I have just stuck several of his other movies in my queue -- do you have any recs? I have no idea where to start!

I've seen approximately one of those, so I'll try to catch some of these next year. I'm holding off on my films of the year post until I see Om Shanti Om and Saawariya next week. I'll do a six hour double feature by myself if necessary, but it will happen.

I push the Michel Ocelot movies again! I think Princes et Princesses may be available in the UK, though I'm not certain, and I'm pretty sure Kirikou is. OMG. I love them so much. They are just so beautiful and wonderful and magical.
