Unsurprisingly, I continue to be massively confused! I feel I should not blog my chapter reading at all, as all it does is subject all of you to my "I am confused! Some plot happened and I can't figure out what it is!" wails.

Also, I cannot parse the fight scenes at all, especially on my itty-bitty computer screen, since I can't tell who's throwing the big balls of flame and who's getting stabbed in the chest.

On the other hand, it's not like that kept me from enjoying these chapters! Fai gets backstory like whoa! Also, now I am sad I didn't read this before rilina's Emo Awards, as he's doing a pretty good job of it. The symbolic cutting of hair! The guardian figure that looks like his mother! The taking of his twin's name (extra-special bonus points)! The eye loss! The fact that he has been brainwashed to kill the one person whose blood he can live off of (of course they are secretly in love)! Betrayal by a parental figure!

Good stuff.

Um. So. Ashura != good guy, huh. I cannot remember if we already figured this out or not (we probably did, but I have the memory of a goldfish). Ashura also = insane.

Did Kurogane just get stabbed in the stomach? Poor guy! And now I want to know what his glowy forehead thing does, and I madly cackled as his calm breaking down of Ashura and Fai's faulty logic re: Fai's magic strength. Go Kurogane! It's good to know someone around here thinks.

Also, Sakura needs to wake back up so she can have more angst with Syaoran (both or either one). I am lapping up the Fai/Kurogane angst like whoa, but I still miss the cutest, angstiest amnesiac couple ever.

I came here through all the race discussion and since that I have been reading you. Then I saw this and couldn't help but delurk. :D

I'm so with you on CLAMP's fight scenes, they are so hard to understand. And I think that Kurogane used his last stregth to defend Shaoran and kill Ashura. He will be in the verge of the death after that and, you know, it was constantly reiterated that Fay, somehow, couldn't never use healing magic... XDD

Oh yes! But, you know, Fay could understand the meaning of the 'true healing' and somehow heal Kurogane! XXDDD
