witchwillow's looking for a host for the POC SF Carnival #2! I can't grab that one, as it's mid-IBARW and I am already behind on things, but if you'd like to volunteer, go check it out!

Good article on Africa and foreign aid and the myths thereof from shewhohashope, along with a post on the term "people of color" and how some people think it's inherently racist.

And in happier news, Viz has licensed more anime: Nana, Ouran High School Host Club, and Honey and Clover (ETA: Funimation has Ouran)! I adore the latter two, and I am sure I will love the first as well. And it looks like Vassalord (~~by the mangaka of Loveless of virginal underage catboy fame~~) has been licensed as well. I am looking more forward to Vassalord, as it has vampires (presumably of age) and a robotic Doberman in a cape who has his own pet cat. devikun also notes that it's rumored that Silver Diamond has also been licensed.
