I finally made it to my local knitting group! Um, well, my third local knitting group, that is. I had much fun, ate chicken katsu musubi (must be brave and have spam musubi next time), knit more sock, and learned about the following patterns....

[livejournal.com profile] telophase, I was thinking of you and how you always find wretched knitting patterns that you would never ever wear. Not that these are wearable, but I thought you'd enjoy the sheer cracktasticness.

I present: the snatchel and the beanis.

Knit them together for handy impromptu sex ed and/or anatomy sessions! Rib the snatchel for further stretchiness! And be able to tell your friends that you've indulged in fisting while just fishing for change in your purse! (jokes courtesy of aforementioned knitting group, as I was too busy trying not to snort rice up my nose)

But think of the cleanup involved! XD

Changing the subject now...: I've never had spam musubi, but it appears to be a bit of a favorite over on the bento community. XD

I can kinda see that.

Vaguely related: there's a recipe somewhere in my family for a pork loaf similar to meatloaf but using pork, that seems to have somewhat of a resemblance to Spam. It's an oddly acquired taste, which is strange for the first bite or two, but enjoyable thereafter. I'll have to see if Mom has a copy of that.

There is only one phrase that is an appropriate response to those patterns:

Knitting For Boys II.
