This continues to be a cute, charming manga about people trying to do good things.
I still can't quite figure out what I think of Namiki -- his backstory predictably makes me feel bad for him, but his attempts to break up Arou and Kanade, no matter how inept, make me want to shake him at the very least.
Arou and Kanade continue to be cute beyond words. I also wish Kanade would get a little more angst; shoujo manga seems to enjoy inflicting angst on its heroes but not on its heroines, and I protest. Particularly when the heroine bends over backwards to try to comfort them.
I'm hoping that something comes of the kaicho; I rather liked her and felt bad for her. Also, more girls is never a bad thing.
But a good chunk of these few volumes ended up being on Namiki's backstory, and I'm still not sure about him.

Mon, Jan. 1st, 2007 07:51 pm (UTC)Kanade definitely has too little angst. Especially in this manga, where the other characters have actual problems that wouldn't be solved just by acting like she does, it's annoying.
