Sun, Nov. 2nd, 2003 09:11 pmGrrrr... went shopping today to look for new jeans, seeing as how I have overgrown my old ones (read: ate too much and don't fit anymore). Can't find anything, much less anything for less than fifty bucks. I have decided this whole low-rise thing is getting way out of hand, because I can't seem to find a pair that doesn't feel like it's falling off and that it'll show unsightly portions of my behind whenever I bend over. Plus, the low-rise causes the belly to stick out as well. Ugh.
I also spotted a copy of Gaiman's Death: The High Cost of Living in a comics store, all three original volumes, nicely packaged and each book signed by Gaiman and the artist for $28.99. I felt bad buying it, even though I have been known to buy a hardcover version of Stardust because it was signed, even though I already owned the illustrated copy. Went home and looked, and there's only one copy of Death on Abebooks, and it's selling for 80! Hopefully it'll still be there tomorrow, and I'll get it and take it to the bookstore to get a quote.
Hee... I'm glad I know kind of how to evaluate this stuff.
Still pissed off about jeans and general weight gain, but unfortunately, being pissed off generally leads to me eating more chocolate.
