  1. My internet is down. NOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!! I discovered this around 3 in the morning last night, and it persists to today. I am fairly certain that it's Comcast itself, and not my router or modem or anything. I am terrified! Internet deprivation! What will I do?!

  2. Ok, it's fairly obvious what I did -- the second I figured out that it probably wasn't something I could fix myself, I high-tailed it to a cafe with wireless. Oh wireless, how I love you! Oh neighbors, why do you not provide non-password-protected wireless so I can snurch?

  3. My dad is visiting. I may attempt to try to get him to buy me some books again, because I am completely and utterly shameless. Target books would be manga and the new book on Victorian lace patterns for knitting.

  4. I have been knitting like a maniac these past few days. I need to recharge my camera batteries so I can take pictures of almost finished objects.

  5. Mariposa next week! WHOO!

  6. We will not mention my Yuletide story or Yuletide deadlines in general.

Sympathies on the internet woes! Mine died around lunchtime yesterday. Two phone calls, an unnecessary new cable modem and a tech visit later, it turned out to be that an ancient barrel connector had suddenly stopped transmitting.

I'm still working on setting up my wireless network again -- I've been panicking, but then I thought of power-cycling the modem, and that seems to have persuaded it to talk nicely to the router.

I'm glad you got it working again! After today's alarums and excursions (play-by play in my own journal) it seems that my problem was actually external and not unique to me. I'm up and running again at the moment, but not entirely trusting it.

O_O Ack to the internet loss! *hugs*

Unrelated, but if you do wind up checking Saiunkoku Monogatari out, we've just released the one episode that was keeping us from having a consecutive run. *^^* (So we've got 1-22 out. *pleased*)

*checks* It looks like everything's still being seeded (our group list on AnimeSuki is here (http://www.animesuki.com/group.php/583.html)), although not all of them have heavy traffic. ^^ Let me know if you have trouble getting any of them at any point.

Forgive me if you already know this, but on the off-chance you don't: I've never had a cable modem that didn't like to randomly stop working at various points. They can generally be revived by unplugging, waiting a couple minutes, and then powering back up.
