Fool-rat had been declining pretty steadily for the past few months. Just a few hours ago, he started hacking and wheezing; he couldn't eat much (he would play nibble at things but not swallow), and he didn't seem to be drinking water either.

I went to the vet with him, and I left with just his cage.

He was a most excellent rat, and I miss him a lot already.

I'm so sorry to hear about Fool-rat. It's so hard to lose a pet, isn't it? You have my sympathies and I'm sending you warm thoughts.
