Another Korean manhwa.

Er, this one bored me to tears. The premise is that Raenef must learn to behave like a proper demon in order to ascend to his place as demon lord. His teacher in such matters as to proper demon behavior is Eclipse. This could be a very interesting premise, full of much darkness and angst and whatnot, considering that Raenef isn't so good at being a demon and considering that Eclipse is very undemonly fond of his pupil and that both are incredibly gorgeous guys. Alas, mostly it's played for laughs, with Raenef being too cute for words. Raenef is stupid. Even worse, Raenef is boring. I could like Eclipse and the softening of his cold demon heart, except that it is softened by Raenef, which I completely don't understand.

Well, the art is pretty, at least.

I read the first volume or two of this and didn't bother to read more, and then a year later I suddenly felt like reading it and read the whole series in two days. I don't know how to explain it. I was overcome by the cute. I would have gone a lot darker with the same premise, as you said, but the sweetness of the story charmed me even though the plotline meandered like hell.

And the art is *really* pretty.

Actually, now that I think about it, *The Ice-Cold Demon's Tale* (uh ... *Koori* or *Kohri* something), one of the manga I sent you, has the same premise with a more serious take.

Yeah, I think it was also very weird reading it when I got it because I thought it would be all goth and disturbing, like Angel Sanctuary.

The art is gorgeous... I wonder if that artist will end up teaming up with more writers.
