Eep, Luke and Grace! I haven't really been writing a commentary for this episode because mostly my thoughts boil down to: "OMG Luke is so cute, can he be my sekrit fandom boyfriend?"

But just the look in his face, and the way he ran to school, and the entire scene done without any dialogue. And many kudos to Grace (er, Becky Wahlstrom I mean) for that slow crumpling.

Otherwise -- I got the cat = Aunt Olive = Grace thing but didn't really see how the police plotline related in any way. Perhaps it's about Will sort of... er... letting the sheriff go? I miss Detective Toni, where did she go? I'm also interested in the new chief of the police (or is it still sheriff?); she looks like she'll be neat.

I am almost resigned to the fact that this show will always make me cry.

I was guessing that the police subplot had to do with letting people (and cats!) be what they are, even if they're going to hurt themselves a bit, but offering whatever you have for them to accept or reject.

God told Joan that the cat was not the one who was supposed to get changed, and I thought that also applied to her father.
