Loved it!

I knew the basic plot and thought it'd just be boring filler, but loved it!

Gunn is back! Cool Gunn who is smart and nifty and wears funky suits! I like ElectroGirl so far. A lot.

Sorry. Totally incoherent thoughts just because of the sheer coolness of it. I think I need to stop being spoiled so I can just watch episodes and not expect them to be good or anything. Because this was my exact reaction to Storyteller. I heard it was going to be funny and about Andrew, and I figured, filler. Maybe interesting filler, but still. And I loved it. So much. I think it (and Beneath You and Selfless) is my favorite season 7 ep so far.

Anyway, back to Angel. Loved the Cordy snark and having the gang around Angel again. I especially loved when Angel acknowledged Wes' loss and the death of Lilah. I had no idea they were going to do that. And wanted to yell at Wes to make him stop macking on Fred.

And can I just emphasize how much I loved Gunn in this episode? He got to do the cool Japanese thing gracefully (I'm a silly east Asian studies major and thought it was neat how he handed the gift over with both hands), kicked ass against the guys wearing hakama (yay hakama!), and then got together with Gwen. I also really liked Gwen in this episode, especially the way she shot down Gunn's entire "I'm just the muscle" thing. I also loved how Gunn realized he was being stupid when she said that.

Gunn and Gwen together are very cool. Yay! Hee hee. Want to see Fred's reaction to this, especially after her I miss you thing in Release.

They gave Lorne something to do! And they were smart! They caught on to evil!Cordy. I loved the moment when Cordy just came out and said "I'm the Beastmaster" and then kept going. Shocked me for a second. And I loved Angel's little digs at the Beastmaster's stupid voice in his head. I wonder if he knew it was Cordy back then and was just egging her on. And may I say that the final scene with the shotguns was awesome?

No analysis here! Just lots of happiness!

Wish I had this reaction for yesterday's Buffy =(. Oh well. I'm sure I'll love the ending episodes. I like being a happy fan.

And Gunn! Yay!


Oh. And did anyone else think about Good Omens when Nikki said her watcher's name was Crowley? Hee. Her watcher was a snake!
