First week of classes, and I already have stuff to write. Guh. At least it's not being graded, but right now I want to watch the new Angel episode, damnit, not read about early Judeo-Christian texts! It does seem to be a cool class though, even if right now I don't quite get the whole faithbusters thing. But then, as stated previously, I don't so much have faith (Christian at least) so much as not. Ergo the historical context stuff probably doesn't bother me at all. Actually, I find all that stuff fascinating.

Buffy 7x13 The Killer in Me

I feel a little like I did during season six. Seems as though S7 started out with a bang and has now started slowly petering out. But if spoilers are right, episode 17 is going to be seriously kickass. (Episode 17 spoilers white texted) Spike! It's another Spike episode! Have I mentioned my thing for Fool for Love? I mean, only the episode that got me completely obsessed with Buffy the show and Spike in the first place. And now they're giving us another Spike history episode, with stuff on his mother and the 1970s slayer and Principal Wood and and and! I'm very excited. And I also love ME because I heard that the Beast IS in fact taking orders from the First Evil, making it much more logical that no one in Sunnydale knows what's going on in LA. I don't know why that makes sense to me, but it does. And it means ME is paying attention to bitty details, which always makes me very happy. Anyway, on to the episode.

I really don't like Kennedy now. I was okay with her before, when she was the only potential aside from Amanda who didn't constantly think they were all doomed. Although after Potential I think I like the others better, especially the girl with the hat. Kennedy just seemed much too pushy in hitting on Willow, especially considering they had just met and Kennedy really knows absolutely nothing about Willow. This is also funny because I just watched Willow on her first "date" with Oz, and I loved the fact that he put off kissing her because he could see she still loved Xander then. I feel like Kennedy is just too brash and forceful.

I did love Willow turning in Warren, and Adam Busch, may I say, is really freaky! Loved the complete confusion when Willow was trying to prove she was Willow with Spike in pain in the background. And definitely got chills at Willow buying a gun and waving it around. I never really saw many episodes with Tara in them, so wasn't very attached to the character, but I loved the guilt Willow was feeling, that she had in a way killed Tara by forgetting her. It made me semi-tear up. Then Kennedy butts in and says her kiss will make it all better! WTF? Why in the world would her kiss make it better? I mean, we don't even know if Willow actually likes her or if she just likes the ego booster or what. Grrr.

Glad they finally did something with the whole Giles not touching anyone thing. Felt like they were going for the Buffy confesses to Giles and he laughs scene in Grave, but didn't quite get there. Now I'm hoping Giles is evil in another way, because if not, why no hugs? Or something. And want an evil Amy too! I love how the First can manipulate people! And love Anya, very sad Emma Caulfield is leaving. I really like Andrew too, and the extreme geekiness and patheticness of him. And him fawning over Warren. Dancing schnauzers? Hee. And gluing things together! I could be evil and glue things together... with evil superglue!

And poor Spike =(. He's not having a good season with the insanity and the angsty killing and the torture and the capture. Now his head's exploding! Buffy had better get the chip taken out, because honestly, I feel like that hanging choice thing was a bit silly. Like having Giles not touch anything. Although I could see why she would get it repaired just in case, or because of Scooby pressure, all bets on ME taking it out. Maybe her decision with spark on some big Spike feeling acknowledgement! Yes, I am a sad, yet hopeful, shipper. And they had a real conversation! And Spike had kind of funny lines again! I miss Spike snark.

Ok. Now that I have Buffy out of my system, I will read my article, write my summary and then... Soulless! Woohoo!
