Veronica Mars 2x03 Cheatty Cheatty Bang Bang
Thu, Oct. 13th, 2005 10:21 amThis is going to be short, because I am tired and not caffeinated.
2x03 Cheatty Cheatty Bang Bang
1. I still like Keith.
2. Alicia was sheriff before? Cool! Fennel backstory, whoo!
3. I don't much like Jackie.
4. I liked the Logan/Duncan fight. And it makes sense that Logan would be more pissed off about Duncan not being there during the murder trial than about Veronica.
5. Ooooo, I'm glad there's all this fallout from the previous season finale! People after Veronica!
6. I really liked the Beaver A-plot, and I'm glad they didn't drag out the Kendall/Logan thing. Also, Mr. Casablancas is so skeevy! More rich/poor dichotomies and class tension and all that, and I felt very bad for the teacher.
7. The Future Business Leaders of America felt way too much like business school people and ibankers to me. Ick.
8. I like that Beaver now has to feel guilty about basically wrecking his family. I wonder how he's going to act around Veronica now? I continue to hate Dick.

Thu, Oct. 13th, 2005 10:27 am (UTC)I think that's my favorite part. This season's working so well for me, because, instead of the writers just making a whole new mystery to replace the Lily mystery, this year's mystery springs from the events of last year's, so instead of discovering Lily's killer being the end of Veronica's troubles, it actually was just a small piece of a larger puzzle. Also, this year's mystery seems to be even more epic.

Though I like your hearing of it better!

Thu, Oct. 13th, 2005 10:07 pm (UTC)I'm a little concerned with how many issues we've got going already this year--who stabbed Felix (was that his name?), proving that Aaron Echolls arranged to have the bus go over the cliff in order to revenge himself by killing Veronica, revealing Logan's affair with Mrs. Casablancas (is that the end of Charisma's guest-starring role?), tracking down Mr. Casablancas and charging him, and now, who is Alicia Fennel, really?
Also, does this mean there are another two young Neptune men fending for themselves? Logan is living alone since his Dad went to jail. I'm assuming Duncan's parents are serving some jail time for the cover-up, so he's on his own. Now Casablancas has disappeared and I doubt Kendall will hang around, so Dick and Beaver will be on their own, too. It's an epidemic!

Fri, Oct. 14th, 2005 11:14 am (UTC)I seem to regularly misinterpret things, so ... yeah, wouldn't take my word on it. Especially since I was knitting and half paying attention at the time.
