I made a new icon to commemorate the printing of the thesis. It is 150 pages, not counting beginning table of content stuff, and the actual text without appendices and bibliography is 96 pages. I'm looking at the inch thick stack of paper sitting on the boy's desk, and it's pretty hard to believe I wrote nearly that much. Eep.

Anyway, pretty new Utena icons to celebrate! Not that anyone has probably heard of it... but want, take, have.

Congrats! Wow, 150 pages is a pretty big thesis! You must be pretty relieved to be finished :)

Love the icons, though I can't remember who the blue-haired girl (boy?) is. Er, not that I remember the names of the other characters, but I kinda know who they are. I especially like #1, but I'm a closet fluff-fan. *g*

What I know about anime and manga can fit on the head of pin with room left over! I used to watch Sailor Moon (the North American version) and sometimes still surf the net for wallpapers, images, fanfic, etc. That's where I ran across Utena, but I still don't know much about it. I do know there are some adrogynous characters in SM, including Sailor Uranus (can't remember her Japanese name).

I'm very impressed. While I'm interested in doing my master's one day, the whole writing a honkin' huge thesis scares me. Good on you that you made it!

Utena's pretty interesting.. it was actually directed by the same guy who did a few Sailor Moon episodes. I think the Japanese voice of Sailor Moon is the voice of Juri, the orange-haired girl (who is very cool and all cold-yet-broken-hearted). Then there's the whole lesbian subtext and incest abounding everything! Prime thesis material, yay!

While I'm interested in doing my master's one day, the whole writing a honkin' huge thesis scares me.

Word. I checked out getting a masters in East Asian Studies, and the whole writing another huge piece of work wasn't too thrilling =(.

Yeah, like Sailor Uranus and Neptune. Doesn't Utena have twins 1 guy/1 girl who have this whole incest vibe, only not so much a vibe as explicit? With blue hair, far as I can remember.
