A little bar on the rat cage broke so that the door now apparently doesn't always stay latched. I walked in this morning to find the door wide open, with the rats thankfully still asleep inside. I walked in a few minutes ago after work to find the door wide open again.

Rats still inside.

Most domesticated rats ever.

Or dorkiest!

(usually when I tell my non-fantasy reading friends, I have to sort of explain that I got the names out of a book and that I didn't mean to call my pet a fool, but... Fitz had to have a companion!)

Yes, I love Hobb! I had pet Fitz and Fool finches for a while. I did have to explain the names to people, but it was still better than the previous pair, which my mother had named Luke and Leia.
