I've never actually made clotted cream, but it sounds like you could make it the same way I make paneer, which would be to use several thicknesses of cheesecloth (probably 6 layers, but I'm guessing), tie off the cheesecloth and hang it over the faucet to drip into a bowl in the sink.
On the other hand, if you never want to think about it again, it sounds like you've earned that. Heh.
