Sometimes when I reread things I've posted, I wonder why people don't post comments like, "Wow, you are truly very strange."

Actually, I tend to wonder why I don't get more comments and replies to that effect off LJ as well. Because, wow, truly I am strange. Or at least things seem to come out of my mouth (or keyboard?) that are strange.

Anyway. I have learned from the poll that a gratuitous ticky box is 6% more popular than excitable ticky-ness (tickytickytickytickyticky!!!!!).

The truly amazing thing is that "The Infamous Story of Bus #28 and the Tri-Colored Afghan" beat both ticky box options. Maybe having two ticky boxes there split the vote. Also, who knew is would be that instead of more posts on Saiyuki? Truly a surprise victory.

And three people chose "Something else that will be put in comments," but there is only one comment! I feel so betrayed and lied to ;).

I also forgot to put in BPAL reviews as an option. Probably a good thing anyway, as all the mucus in my body has apparently decided to kidnap my nose. BPAL will resume when I manage to wrest my nose back.

More people want to see pictures of my stuffed animals than I realized. Huh.

LJ is fickle. Who knows what works and why! And ticky boxes are indeed an alluring and irresistible component.

It may be the word "gratuitous". Because who *doesn't* like the word gratuitous?

I do, however, find the "tickytickyticky!!!etc" box even more appealing now that you have termed it "excitable ticky box". Because it makes me giggle. :)

See, I envision the ticky box itself getting all overexcited and bouncing all jitter-y.
