I've only read one Jennifer Crusie, but it was hilarious. I also hate really bad romance novel prose, although sometimes, if a romance hits all my buttons, I end up going through it anyway despite bad writing.

MMmmmm bookstore visit! No real suggestions since it seems like you've already read a lot of the stuff I usually recommend ;). I've never read Vogler or Brust, what do they write?
