Mon, Feb. 14th, 2005 06:59 pmI woke up feeling pretty crappy today. After a few hours into the day, I thought, hey, it's dark and grey and wet and raining. It's Monday. The boy broke up with me. And it's Valentine's Day. I get to be whiny and mopey and depressed. That made me feel better.
Along with going shopping with Angela yesterday, we also went to Stitches West 2005! I didn't attend any classes, just checked out the yarn market. Oh. Oh my. Angela can attest to the fact that my brain basically just shut down as we walked through the doors, because so. much. yarn. Everywhere! *gibbers* I couldn't even figure out where to start looking, there was so much. Hanks of yarn dyed in every color imaginable hanging everywhere, in rainbow colors, soft pastels, mixed colors, all of them with lovely nubbly textures or soft and cushy. I tried to run my fingers over everything, it was so beautiful. And in the back corner was a place where you could take spinning lessons for $5! With an actual spinning wheel! If I had had more time, I probably would have stopped there to try.
Anyhow, there was so much yarn there that my mind basically blanked. I did make out with about 7 some balls of a beautiful lavender alpaca. Ohhhh so nice. So soft! Such pretty colors!
I still can't believe there is so much yarn in the world! It's amazing!
And thanks to
rilina for the CD, which I love, and
__angela__ for the book and the drawing, which are both wonderful!
And Amazon says Angel S5 shipped yesterday, joy.
I'm going to spend the rest of today huddled under blankets and nursing my wounds, I think.
