Ugh bad day. Was in a rush this morning, therefore was careless and backed my car into someone else's and now have to go deal with the insurance and all that. Plus, already got my paint job touched up about a week or two ago, thanks to my dad first scraping my car. And in general, that set the tone of the day. Not much went wrong, except small things -- was sleepy, so I kept walking into things, couldn't concentrate that well, etc.

Nyargh. Then laundry and cleaning house because mom's coming over tomorrow... then I can make her cook for me. Heh. Besides, I want her recipes, and I want to watch her cook so I can figure out those little things that always manage to go wrong when I cook.

So now I'm sleepy and the boy and I skipped aiki weapons because he's got a lot of homework and I had housework. Plus, really tired. Although it might have been good for me to go to get out some of the pent up aggression. Least I finally caught up on LJ comments sitting in my email, and now finally catching up with the friends list.

The quest for Alias episodes continues, as we have missed the premiere of S3. Then we tried capturing, except the software messes up, and we've missed the first few minutes of ep. 2 and ep. 3 has no audio at all.

So. Does anyone know where to get these things on IRC? You can reply in comments or email me: oyceter at livejournal.com, and earn undying gratitude.

Meanwhile, I will hope that the weird noises my hard drive is making is normal and doesn't mean it's going to crash. Again.

Bad, worse....

And a bad day gets even worse, as my laptop goes from making vaguely wrong hard drive noises to the blue screen of doom, sounds that are perfectly reminiscent of the FIRST time my hard drive crashed, to refusing to reboot. Luckily I managed to back up some of my personal files before the entire thing went kaput. Unluckily, I didn't get all of them. Even worse, my warranty ran out, probably sometime last month, just to piss me off even more.

Need I repeat that this is a new hard drive, installed in my laptop after the first new hard drive did the exact same thing five months after I got this brand new laptop? The only reason I am not typing in all caps to indicate total and complete hair-rending frustration and impotent anger at Toshiba is because I'd be capitalizing absolutely everything. I think they should forget about repairing it, try to recover all my data for free, and then give me my money back so I can go buy a Dell. My first Toshiba lasted three years and probably could have kept on going. This one has hit a year and a month after one equivalent to a near-fatal heart attack.

I am so pissed off.
