Whoa

Matrix movie blew my mind.

No coherent comments here. Just... whoa. I was so scared in the beginning that they were going to be all slow and not at all like the first one, with all the Zion scenes, the sappy romances, and the Council scenes. It reminded me eerily of Star Wars Episode 1 and 2... politics and debate, which I think definitely slowed those two movies down to their detractment. But no. Sped up very quickly with some kickass action scenes that somehow just got cooler and cooler. The entire Neo/One thing gets cooler, and and and... new agents! I think the Matrix trilogy (depending on how Revolutions is) will kick the asses of the Harry Pottery series by far, all six Star War movies, and even my beloved LotR. Just... so much to think about after each one!

And the action scenes? Watching them feels like flying. Once you scrape your jaw off the floor repeatedly, that is.

I loved Sabriel but haven't read Lirael. I think I'll wait until I've heard more about it unless I can find a copy in the library or the used book store. I bought two books by Tanya Huff yesterday and then ended up not getting into them... a reminder that the library is a better option!

Could I excerpt or link your Gaimen quote? I really like it...
