What are your favorite canon pairings?
Buffyverse: Buffy/Spike, Willow/Oz, Wes/Lilah, Andrew/Warren (I think that counts as canon. And I think they're funny! Especially Andrew/First/Warren, hee) For fanfic, I usually just stick to Spuffy.
X-Files: classic Mulder/Scully
Farscape: Crichton/Aeryn (I have been assured they become canon)
Gundam Wing: Zechs/Noin
Favorite non-canon pairings?
Buffyverse: Willow/Spike, Wes/Faith, Faith/Buffy (is that really non-canon?)
Um. I don't read lots of non-canon pairings.
Favorite obscure pairings?
Is Willow/Spike obscure? See above re non-canon pairings. I likedjennyo's Wes/Dawn one a great deal.... I like the idea of Faith/Lilah.
I feel as though Zechs/Noin is obscure even though they are canon, so I'll stick them down too. Small call for het in the yaoi-heavy fandom of GWing.
Pairing you won't read no matter how well written?
I used to think Dawn/anyone, but then Jenny-O did the Dawn as a vamp thing. I even read a few Simon/Rivers. Generally I tend not to read non-canon pairings, but if they're highly recced and well written, sure, I'll give them a try. I think I'd even read Cordy/Connor if it were good.
OK, the idea of Snape/Harry and RPS really squicks me.
Pairing you used to dislike, but grew to like or vice-versa?
I used to be a big Heero/Duo fan, but I think I read too many cliched ones and too many girl-bashing ones. So I stopped.
I also used to like Angel/Cordy (with loads of darkness and angsty goodness piled on top), but the actual portrayal on the show turned me off to that.
Um, I can't think of any I've really grown to like or dislike. Mostly I'm not against any of them.
Does it matter to you if your pairings ever get recognition by the PTB?
Yeah, mostly because I'm extremely pairings blind until the PTB give recognition. But if I see subtext, yay and no need for recognition. Ahem, Scott/Logan comfort fic, where are you?

Thu, May. 8th, 2003 01:08 pm (UTC)I've only watched about 6 episodes or so, but I've been pretty impressed. I also tried to start watching Stargate SG-1, but I didn't really get into it. Plus, I think Aeryn and Zhaan in Farscape at this point (first season) are more interesting than Sam Carter is in S1 Stargate.
