It's been a very long day today. Work was insanely busy because it was a project due date, and I was looking forward to going home and relaxing and having fun on the weekend.

And then I was in a car accident on the freeway. I'm ok -- my neck and back muscles are still sort of strained and achey, but the doctor says that's normal. But my car is rather crumpled. And I'm still very shaken and scared. And of course this is right before the boy goes to Italy, and having to deal with insurance and getting my car fixed or replaced without him to ferry me around and everything is already causing stress.

Also tired now from spending several hours waiting in the hospital to get looked at.

Very thankful that all the people are ok. But still scared out of my wits and rather shell-shocked.

I'm so glad you're okay, but, man, that sucks. Went through the same thing about a year ago. I remember the shakes well. I'm not a huggy person, but you deserve a careful one.

Sorry to hear about the accident, but glad to know you're OK. Too many idiots out there.

As a rule, give yourself three times as long as doctors say to get the aches out. (The exception being docs who have actually been there.)

I hope that used up your bad car karma for a loooong time!

Glad to hear that you are okay: take things easy for a bit. These things take a while to get over, physically and emotionally.

I'm glad you're all right. Did they X-ray your back and neck at the hospital? If not, you should probably have that done, just in case.

Ouch! I've been there, and I know it's absolutely no fun...but also that this, too, shall pass. I'll be thinking lots of good vibes in your direction as you deal with the resulting insurance headaches. (Thank goodness no one was significantly injured, but do take extra care of yourself for the next few days -- your neck muscles will likely get stiffer before they get better, so give yourself time for lots of steamy showers and aspirin/tylenol/etc.)

Heartfelt agreement on the "glad you're OK" feelings. I'm with those who say hot steamy showers, pleasant smelling baths, and a little kindness with yourself are the way to go. Some might suggest a glass of wine as well (purely for its muscle relaxant effect) before bed, along with nice music, a good book, and a boy.

Eek, an accident! Adding my own "I'm glad you're okay" to the pile ::hugs you:: And, yeah, car accidents are deeply scary, even minor ones.

You have my sympathies, and *hugs* if you deem them apt; I am very glad to hear all came out of it so relatively unhurt.
