I changed out of my work clothes today and took out my new pair of jeans, which are spiffy and flared, and I wore my boots and my leather jacket. Boots and jeans and my leather jacket feel like fall to me, and it just makes me extremely happy to go clumping around in boots (it doesn't seem to make sense to walk around delicately with boots) and nicely flared jeans that fall just so over the boots and my trusty leather jacket.

Yes, I will shut up about clothes now.

After watching Good Eats, I also desperately wanted to eat cake. Alas, the boy does not miraculously procure cake out of thin air at my mere request, nor does he go out and buy cookies (butter cookies, with frosting, is what I'm craving). So I had to scrounge around in the kitchen. I toasted semi-sweet chocolate chips on bread and then glopped whipped cream on top. All in all, it was quite disgusting, and really, really good. I should remember to do this more when I want cookies.

I don't get it -- usually around this time of month I crave veggies and fruit and anything with no milk or butter or fat or oil. But it seems as though my body still thinks it's two weeks ago or something and it must stock up on sweets. I think it's because of the weather. Cold weather makes me want to grab comfort food instead of salads, and I have a sudden hankering for desserts and cheesy, heavy foods.

I feel that, as one who falls firmly in the fashionista camp, I should tell you to not shut up about the clothes thing. There are too few people chatting about it! I know that you have issues with the fit of work clothes, so I'm not badgering asking you to jot anything down on that. Just happy little experiences to do with your wardrobe. That's all. Heh. Yes, I know I can sound very scary about this.

I adore shopping, unless, of course, I'm actually shopping for something I need. Then Murphy's law kicks in and I can never find what I want (why can't I find another pair of boots??). And I hate shopping for work clothes =(. They're really boring and have to be dry cleaned, and everything I seem to like is, er, way too froofy for work.

I have this great white skirt that's sort of a circle skirt with a lace-edged underlayer, and it swishes around my legs wonderfully when I walk. I love that skirt (actually, I stole it from my sister, haha). Alas, these few years I find the styles are going places I don't like as much! I knew I should have just bought tons of things a few years ago when I liked everything.
