Got my library books off hold today (from hold?).. one of them was Sorcery and Cecelia, which I ended up buying last week because I was sick of waiting, haha. But I think it is a worthwhile book to have, so I am satisfied. And the second was the new Fables graphic novel!! Yay!!

First movie you can remember seeing?
Return of the Jedi. I actually don't even remember watching it for the first time, but it's my earliest movie memory. So everyone can complain about Ewoks and stuff, but I love this movie, and I don't even remember a time in which I had not seen it.
Last movie you saw that you loved?
Um. In theaters, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I saw other good movies, but none that I loved, really. At home, Lilo and Stitch (for the... fifth time?).
First movie you saw on a date?
Technically I don't think I've ever really been on a date... Probably one of the first movies I saw with the boy as a couple was Episode II, and that was with a giant group of friends.
First movie you can remember that you disagreed strongly with the critics/reviews about?
Der. I don't really remember. But James Berardinelli, the animation in Lilo and Stitch is not ugly!! Usually I like you, but honestly.
What movie have you dreamed about?
Nothing really... I don't tend to dream about fictional things, incredibly. Maybe it's my brain's way of resting from all the fiction I consume all day.
A secret thing you did in a darkened theater.
Er. Picked my nose??
The worst movie you ever saw and the best thing about it.
Very Bad Things. It wasn't bad bad, but it was the most bleakly mean-spirited movie I've seen. The best thing... the beginning was sort of funny.
Ever lied about something so you could see a movie?
Probably to my mom on the phone while I was watching something on DVD so she would let me get off the phone. Knowing my mom, it probably didn't work, as "OK, I'll let you go to bed" means "Let me tell you a few more things, and then let you go..."
Your favourite movie and the worst thing about it.
Um. My favorite movie... I have several. Spirited Away/Sen to Chihiro -- the way the CG isn't always integrated into the animation (particularly Chihiro running through the flowers)
Chicken Run -- um. It's always over before I want it to be. (I adore Chicken Run in an irrational fashion)
A movie you're embarrassed to admit you enjoyed.
Haha, those teeny-bopper romances with Freddi Prinze Jr.!
Best adaptation of a novel?
LotR. Because most adaptations I like, I haven't read the book. And while Peter Jackson does some stupid things, he just gets so much right.
One person you've never seen a movie with but would like to sometime:
I've probably seen movies with all my RL friends by now, but I'd love see movies with LJ people!
What kind of movie you'd like to see with that person:
Anything. Especially anything snark-worthy or genre, given that the boy doesn't read comics and does not understand the travesty that is the Catwoman movie. Seriously though. He didn't know who Bruce Wayne was!
To understand something about you, people need to see this movie:
Er. Chicken Run again? Because, chickens! Shaped like onions! With teeth!
Oops, that wasn't the question.
Or maybe Nightmare Before Christmas, for weirdness and strange funniness.
Movie that surprised you (with plot twists) the most?
The lastest was Intolerable Cruelty -- so many I got whiplash.
List by title: saddest/funniest/scariest/overrated/underrated:
Saddest: Grave of the Fireflies. Hee, I showed this for a Japanese film class and traumatized everyone, who expected a happy fuzzy Disney movie.
Funniest: Monty Python and the Holy Grail. Or, again, Chicken Run.
Scariest: I make a point not to watch scary movies.
Overrated: Gladiator
Underrated: Nightmare Before Christmas?
A movie you haven't seen yet but you really want to?
Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow! Woot!
A movie character you could really relate to, or even wish you could be like?
Usually I'm not around movie characters enough to relate to them (unlike TV shows or books). I wish I were like Hildy in His Girl Friday though.
Movie that the person you got this from reminds you of:
Eh. Ehhhh. The Crow, just because of the icon??
When I say the word, you say the first movie that comes to mind:
Moulin Rouge
If you were a movie what genre would you be filed under at the video store?
Cartoons. Just because I want to be animated.
