Spoilers for all of S1!

Um, so someone out there is already thinking of fic in which Moriarty now gets fixated on Joan, because here is someone who can outmaneuver her who she doesn't understand, and attempts to play various mind games or who knows what while Joan rolls her eyes? Or the AU in which not!Moriarty!Irene gradually turns to Joan re: PTSD?(I love the finale! But I am kind of sad the whole awesome woman with PTSD piecing things back together storyline is now nonexistent.)

I know, I was so hoping for Irene/Joan bonding. Especially since I read a semi-spoilery interview with Natalie Dormer before the finale, where she didn't give away the twist, but she did say "you might expect Joan and Irene to get all catty and fight over Sherlock, but that won't happen!" Well... it is true, that didn't happen, but they didn't exactly bond either. *G*

I REALLY REALLY REALLY WANT Moriarty to shift her obsession from Sherlock to Joan. That is basically all I want. There were things I liked and didn't like about the Moriarty plot, but if that happens I will be overall satisfied with everything.

I desperately want Joan and Irene to have unwilling fascination with each other. And Irene's cattiness marked a deeply hidden fascination with Joan and the might have beens of friendship (or more!) with her. I'm convinced of it.

...well, not overall satisfied with everything -- want more Alfredo, want more Mrs. Hudson, want more Detective Bell, want Joan's friends and family to have more of a role -- but a Moriarty who recognizes a Watson (this Watson!!) as someone to reckon with? Yes.
