I just heard about

skywardprodigal's death and just... damn. We weren't close friends, but she was part of the first group of anti-racist people I found online, back in 2006. I don't know if she knew it, but her posts and comments back then were a big part in shaping how I started to educate myself about race. Knowing she was there, knowing that the comms she created and moderated were there, it made me feel less afraid and less alone. I will really miss having her around.
