Wow! I have imported my journal!

So far, I have:
  • Imported journal, icons, comments

So far, I need to:
  • Reconsider tagging schema

  • Customize style

  • Decide if I want to keep my hard-coded sidebar or go with tags

  • Redo all filters

  • Think about access vs. watch

  • Investigate backup

  • Obsessively tinker with totally minor stuff

  • ETA: Figure out bug filing

ETA: Okay, cut tags do not work. Also, I want to have hard links to "Comment" and "Read comments" from LJ so as to make things easier for people.

Your cut tag works just fine for me.

Ah! Yeah, that would make sense, since the cut tags are different. I'm sure there's a way for them to add the "lj-" to the front of it automatically, though.

Or one can post {lj-cut text="hello cut tag"}* and crosspost that because dw is backwards compatible and standard lj-cuts work on both sites. :-)

* Imagine { and } are angle brackets.

(Here via [personal profile] shewhohashope's reading page where I was bug checking.)

True, but LJ doesn't offer the auto-crossposting feature that DW has.

Unless I'm missing something?

I thought [personal profile] oyceter was talking about crossposting from dw?

She was, I believe. So you mean if you use lj-cut in a DW post and use the auto-crossposter, it will work properly in both journals?

Ah, the light dawns. Sorry to hijack your journal with my cluelessness!

On bug-filing - if it's an actual bug, you can check for reports or report it yourself in Bugzilla. The official strategy is that the best way to leave report of a problem is by commenting to the latest [site community profile] dw_news update. Or if it's a problem rather than a bug, you may find [community profile] getting_started a source of assistance.
