EEEEEE!

Tivo has just shown me a 9-minute preview of Ratatouille! It is a Pixar movie! About a rat! Who cooks! OMG it is like they made it just for me!

I am so excited! Because OMG! The rat! He is so cute! I watched and even though he is an anthropomorphized rat, he still does rattie little things and the way he stands on his hind legs!!!! Exclamation point!

Um, sorry. But... the only thing I could say for nine entire minutes was: AWWWW SO CUTE! SO CUTE! SO CUTE!

But yes! Cooking rat! So cute!

I saw an ad on a phone booth for that movie today, & wondered if it would be any good. Encouraging to hear that it is rat-realistic, @ least!

Once when I was a kid my mom was making ratatouille. We asked what was in it and she said "Everything you don't like, mixed together". Isn't that a great description of a food item? :) I am glad you like rats!

It does look cute, though the fact that the rat & the cook he directs are Americans in France made me roll my eyes rather in the movie preview.

PS: http://www.nytimes.com/2007/06/13/dining/13rata.html?ex=1339387200&en=988ed2f183994db4&ei=5124&partner=permalink&exprod=permalink

(Which suggests the rat is French, which is not at all the impression the trailer gave.)

Sounds like a rip-off of Flushed Away.

Semi-related cuteness

OK, it's not a rat, but this amuses me greatly (via icanhascheezburger.com):

We're probably going to see Ratatouille on opening night with my partner and her co-workers.

What does my partner do?

She's a chef. Her co-workers? All chefs.

Didn't you leave the "SQU" off the "EEEEEE!"? That would be more in the rat range.

Anyway, I saw a preview almost a year ago, and will be paying rare first-run price: Pixar may not quite be ghod, but they simulate her! Each movie, except maybe Cars (which is probably where I saw the preview) has had little tricks to make the geeks say Kill Me Now. I mean, like, totally underwater, where ALL the ray-tracing goes through the ripples and waves of the surface of the water? kill me now
