jinian, apparently it is World Rat Day! And to think, I almost missed it and was not going to play with the ratties today in favor of getting more sock knitting done.
- I picked up stitches for the first time ever! OMG, cannot believe I have been knitting seriously for two entire years and only now have picked up stitches. It really says something about how much I enjoy finishing, huh? Also, I started knitting my first sock! It's so sad! After knitting so long with Crystal Palace Kid Merino, which is about as thick as thread, only with a lot of fuzzy stuff around it, sock yarn feels so fat and substantial!
- ZOMG! Blue Moon Fiber Arts Rockin' Sock Club had some extra open spaces and I insanely went for it! So more socks in the future! Also, eep, what did I get myself into?
- Still have not made it to the other other knitting group, as real life keeps getting in the way, and since the mom arrives tomorrow, I cannot go tomorrow or next Sunday. Maybe next week.
- Went to swing for the first time in a few weeks today, and despite it being live band night, there still weren't a lot of people. I talked to some others, and I think everyone went somewhere else. Sigh. Alas, that somewhere else is on Tuesday, and I have knitting every other Tuesday, except it sounds like all the fun dancers are going to the Tuesday one. And Skeevy Guy 1 and Skeevy Guy 2 are apparently becoming regulars at normal place, which is losing its fun vibe, as fewer and fewer people go dancing. Possibly I will try out the new place, except the week after next.
- Must buy textbooks! Must not forget about classes!
- Must read more! Must blog books! Must watch more TV! Woe, why can't I just download knowledge into my brain, come to think of it?
- It is entirely possible that I have a few too many hobbies and entirely too little money and time to support them all. But... they're all so fun! Also, I met some dancers who knit today. My spheres collide!
