Quick notes:

I love love love that Mayu and Kanoko finally reconcile. I love that this volume concentrates on their past lives, that the reincarnation birthmarks aren't limited to romantic relationships, that Kanoko and Mayu both value their relationship very much.

I am irritated by the plot stupidity of Kaneko the pop idol. I am also very boggled by the fact that in this volume there is a Kanoko (heroine), a Kaneko (evil pop idol), and a Kameko (random side character).

I loved all the flashback to Edo Japan scenes, and now want to look up the Kabuki play with Agemaki and the guy whose name I can't remember and am too lazy to look up.

I am very, very, very, very, very irritated by the fact that Kanoko gets a haircut and suddenly looks beautiful and cool and trendy and stops wearing her glasses all the time. VERY. VERY VERY. I cannot express how sad it makes me, particularly because I loved short grumpy Kanoko with glasses and beautiful long hair, and I'm sick of shoujo heroines getting makeovers all the time to be trendy and fashionable.

I am interested in the fact that Mike's prior incarnation seems to have been female, and I want to see how that pans out. It's almost like Setsuna and Alexiel! Except with much less craziness! I am so hoping that this series comments more on fate and destiny and choice.

Those were exactly the things I thought you'd like and dislike. It's like I know you! :)

I am additionally irritated by Kanoko's makeover because I liked her old hair better.

Kanoko (heroine), a Kaneko (evil pop idol)

I was so confused by this. I didn't even realize there was a Kameko.
