Fullmetal Alchemist, ep. 20-21
Fri, Jun. 24th, 2005 10:04 pmOh. My. God. I thought it would be difficult to beat the sheer emotional angst of the Nina episode and the Barry the Chopper episode, but these two definitely did. And not just that, but they brought Nina and Tucker and Barry back, and just.... oh my god.
I loved the brother-brother armor guys, but I fear the parallel they're drawing to Al and Ed... is it impossible for the Elrics to become fully human again? And now I'm scared that Ed will do something to Al in the course of trying to get him back into his real body and have to kill him. Waaah!!!
I was already gaping in horror at the Al-may-not-be-Al revelation. And poor Al! And what if it is true, and all Ed's quest to get him back into his real body is... what?
And oooh, the appearance of Greed! Now I'm even more curious as to how the Sins/homunculi are made. Ishbal again? More Philosopher's Stone stuff? And gah, Scar's brother trying to do what Ed and Al tried, brothers everywhere. And it always seems as though the younger is keeping the older in check, which makes me fear more for the decisions Ed might make and how they might affect Al. And now I wonder if the army brought in the State Alchemists after Scar's brother got his tattoos or before. Somehow I'm guessing they were keeping an eye on him and that was what prompted the decision to bring in the State Alchemists.
Man, I would love to see Roy's memories of Ishbal. And Hawkeye's, but I don't remember if she was there or not.
And I don't quite remember if the tattoos on Scar's brother's back are the same as the tattoos Tucker has drawn on the floor, surrounded by all the imperfect Philosopher's Stones. Ed, don't do it! Waaaaaah, I don't want to see the Elric brothers pulled into this horrible game of trying to escape equivalent trade. Just... it just can't possibly be good that's they're looking for this, and I just don't know how anything good can come. I keep saying this, heh.
And of course, Al was adorable.
So.... do people get turned into homunculi in a successful human transmutation? Wah, does this mean Lust is somehow related to Scar? And if so... what happens if Ed and Al do succeed in bringing back their mother, or maybe the partially brought back dead become homunculi, or who knows. Sorry, I am sure everyone is mocking my predictions!
Wah, I so want the Elric brothers to be ok, and I'm so scared that they won't be.
