Happy 2nd LJ anniversary, me!

Wow.

And now, because I am bored and have nothing to say, here is picture spam of my Really Ugly Scarf, which I have finally finished. Well, not so much finished so much as got sick of knitting. I did learn how to bind off, finally. But I was too lazy to weave all the loose ends in. It's also the completely wrong size and width to be useful at all, so it shall just have to sit around the house and be ugly.

Next to it is the new scarf I am working on! I don't actually want scarves, but I'm a little scared to take on anything with any sort of shaping yet.

Thanks! I'm very fond of the red color, actually, which is nicely dark and garnet-like.

Picking up knitting this time round is a bit easier for me because I knew how when I was seven. But I still figure this may be a short term thing... who knows?

And you and me both, when it comes to deep reds like that yarn. Mmm, red... What's up with Asian people and that part of the colour spectrum, anyway? But, well, I do look good in red! Most Asians do, I think. Our skin tone or black hair or something? Heh.

I was going to try to figure out this baby blanket thing for you and yay for knitting pic spam!

RUS might be a misnomer, I like it. It has a funky handmade punk feeling to it. At least it's wearable. When my mom started knitting the first thing she made was an impeccably knitted stockinette scarf from three skeins of (huh, I just realized this) kethcup red, mustard yellow, and maynnaise white. Funny, those are like less attractive versions of your colors. I think the resemblance to sandwich condiments was purely incidental. Anyway, she knit a whole skein, then attached another, then another, so it's three sections not stipes. And because it's all stockinette it curls into a big uncomfortable roll. And ended up like, nine feet long which is a really useful scarf length when you're six.

So yeah, at least you can actually wear your scarf out in public. ^_^

Ok, I'm off to your earlier post to finally get back to you on the blanket thing. Sorry, work intervened!

Oh, I love red! Dark red, and that bright Chinese New Year red both! Haha, my mom and my sister got underwear in that color one year for fun.

Glad the scarf is not too ugly... alas, it is the total wrong length to wear because it's too wide, and I got sick of knitting it, so I just sort of stopped.
