*Yawn*

I give up. Due tomorrow means in by 5 in the afternoon, yeah? So I've got about half of the intro written, and most of what I've done so far is the hard stuff. All that's really left now is a general history of manga from a shojo perspective, which I could do in my sleep. In fact, considering how much sleep I'm about to get, I can test that theory. Heh. Me sleepy now though.

In other, happier, news, I have gone on a recent friending spree. Yay! I kind of feel voyeuristic because I'm just friending random people who's posts I've read and enjoyed on other friends' friends page. Does that sentence even make sense? But I love the internet and LJ largely because I'm so addicted to finding out what people think about things. And ficlets are always happy too. But it's just very interesting learning about other people's lives, because I feel as though I've lived in a little bubble all of mine. My neighborhood and school in Taiwan weren't exactly what you would call diverse, and my college? Ha. The sad thing is that, compared to home, college seems like an oasis of different people. Just goes to show how small my life is. The most eye-opening thing I've found online in a while is this.

It was also really nifty today finding that I could see who friended me. People have friended me! Wow, very weird. Anyway, hi all people who have friended me!

Yay. My first chapter is in, as well as my working bibliography, all before five. Good job, me. Unfortunately, it's not a very good chapter and will probably need a great deal of revising later. And I fudged a bit on the bibliography. I hate all the weird MLA things. I mean, citing DVDs and stuff is frustrating, especially when they are Japanese and you can't for the life of you figure out when they were released. Grrrr.

My high school friend and her boyfriend are then coming over in the evening, which will mean more running around for me. I am glad I'll be seeing her, but in the end, having to play host always just gets me more stressed and even more in a tizzy. Especially with all this thesis stuff going around.
