Argh! I am so sick of studying already! It is so bad that I have actually started my Yuletide story as a means of procrastination.

In other news, I've attempted snuggling with the rats on the sofa while studying, as opposed to on the bed. Ren cuddles nicely, especially if I scritch his cheeks or behind his ears; if I stop, he'll keep his eyes closed and stay still for a few seconds in hopes that I'll resume again shortly. But after a while, he gets bored, makes a flying leap off the couch, and dashes to freedom.

I think I have aptly renamed Ed and Al, as Al has grown much bigger than Ed and can probably still beat him up if he so chooses, but doesn't often choose to. Ed, on the other hand, is small and crazy full of energy; while Al is curled up under the covers, Ed is scampering around the bed and sniffing at everything. On the other hand, if I drag Al out alone, he starts at all the scary noises and then stuffs himself inside my sweatshirt sleeve. This is somewhat awkward, as he refuses to come back out, so I have been walking around the apartment for the past half hour with a rat curled up by my forearm.

People! Entertain me! Or else I will just spam LJ more!

ETA: Spoilers for Demon Ororon in comments! (Most is spoiler texted out, but I got my code wrong, so mine is not.)

What's the worst manga/manhwa/manhua you've ever read?

You are assuming we object to spamming!

*thinks*

I have started reading Angel Diary which I think I first heard about from you. I'm up to Vol 6 and very much enjoying it, but am worried about when I start reading it roughly as it comes out, instead of 6 volumes within a few weeks.

Love Pistols and Moon Child both strike me as awful and great at the same time, which I suppose is what makes them more compelling than a lot of books that are much better overall.

I am now afraid to start Kare Kano!

I think I will knock off and have dinner. I haven't eaten anything all day but a few cookies at breakfast. Because someone didn't bring me takeout.

Has Coniraya told you about the game we played last week? We played In a Wicked Age, where we created a story about how a shadow-demon girl born of blasphemy became her own father and ascended as a self created goddess of corruption. It was cracktastically good.

In other news, I have Netflix streaming through my Xbox. Which means if you ever NEED to see something right away, and it's available on Netflix instant, you can just swing down and we'll watch anime, movies, whatever. Also- some are in High Definition (Pan's Labyrinth!).

That's about it!

Yyyyyeeesssss. And interesting takes on the crossdressing, at that. And it slightly bugs me that I can't figure out exactly who the her fiance! (I mean, sure, we know who she'll end up with-unless rocks fall and everybody dies-but!)

And it's a nice way to relax yourself after Angel Sanctuary, as it's similar stuff, but lighter, saner, and with less incest. (I tried Demon Ororon for that, too, but ended up depressing myself after the promising beginning...)

Well, it's either Bi-Wal, or her fiance has just vowed to kill her. (I should go post on Vol 5-6 now...)

(ICE SWORD! I LOVE IT!)

Well, by "relaxing" I kinda mean "now as insane or involving or obsessive, and I can finish it quickly."

I read the whole thing in one day, and the last 100~ pages in abject horror.

*frets*

I have the first few volumes (I snagged the omnibus a while back, and then picked up a couple more volumes super-cheap recently.)

How bad are we talking?

Yeah. There's glorious angst. There's tragedy. And then there's creators apparently deciding they want to see if they can write something depressing enough to make weaker-willed consumers contemplate slitting their wrists. It's just...there wasn't a payoff. If there'd been an apparent goal accomplished by the depressing ending, it'd be one thing, but...there isn't. And, by all accounts, things will just be worse...

What really bugged me was (1)That Chiaki's story was completely lost in the killing. Early on, it seemed like it would explore the politics of Heaven and Hell, and what it meant to be the child of an angel and a human. It touches on that, but forgets it pretty quickly. (2) As far as I can tell, everyone is going to be much worse off without Ororon there. His siblings maybe be more interested in ruling than Ororon, but I'm pretty sure they wouldn't be better at it. (3) WHAT HAPPENED TO CHIAKI? We end with everyone she knows but Othello dead, and her surrounded by enemies. AT LEAST END WITH HER BEING SAFE!!!! (I tell myself that Othello took care of her after, but...) (4) Forget all that. CHIAKI CAN RAISE THE DEAD AND WIPE OUT CITIES! That alone should have required a different ending.
