Fool-rat

Fool-rat had been declining pretty steadily for the past few months. Just a few hours ago, he started hacking and wheezing; he couldn't eat much (he would play nibble at things but not swallow), and he didn't seem to be drinking water either.

I went to the vet with him, and I left with just his cage.

He was a most excellent rat, and I miss him a lot already.

I am sorry to hear this about Fool-rat. And I just have to say that I have always been amused by his name. It makes me think of a version of Robin Hobb's Farseer world in which everyone is a rat. Fool-rat's Errand and Golden Fool-rat and so forth. In some universe, Fool-rat had his own series!
