Games updates
I only have one residential floor left, and then I am finally done with Tiny Tower!
... now I have to figure out what to do during the commute.
I have also signed up for QZone (me!), one of the biggest social networking sites in China. I have done this despite being able to read much less simplified Chinese than I thought because Sims has launched on it and I am a sad, sad addict who wants to see if there are any different clothes/furniture/hair/missions/whatever.
Most of the game is the same, except you can't post to your feed to request things a la Facebook, so everything is based on in-game requests. Most of the assets are the same as well, except for maybe 5-10 new items in hair, clothes, furniture, respectively. On the other hand, the new hair and new clothes are SO MUCH CUTER. And Bella has been replaced by a much more anime-looking character called Rongrong.

I love my Sim's hair! If I could pull that haircut off in RL without having to resort to a ton of hair product, I would so get it.

Also, Sims Social totally stole this dudou, took off the lotus, and passed it off as an Aphrodite tank top for Greek week. IT DOES NOT LOOK GREEK, SIMS!
I don't know why I still complain about the clothing, given how their concept of Victorian hair equates prom curls, but whatever.

BEST THING EVER OMG SO WORTH REGISTERING JUST FOR THIS.

And look! The hair! Much cuter!
And OMG so many big things happening in Glitch! (Me!) I stopped playing for a while after the potions and tinctures update, largely because I wanted more house beta stuff to come out. And I wasn't going to decorate my house until the housing release was finalized, because I don't want to lose all the changes, but I couldn't resist! Also, I want to fiddle around for hours trying to decide on the best combination of resources for my street vs. my house.
And now imagination is finally being released! And I cannot wait for furniture making! I am guessing that this may finally push me into subscribing. Damn you Tiny Speck!
Alas, I haven't had much luck with the foxes. I love having in-game fiber arts, but given that I use my laptop trackpad to play often, brushing the foxes is nearly impossible.
So far, I haven't ventured off to find sloths yet either. And I am a little sad rats scored so low on the "What new animals?" poll.
I suppose someday I will figure out all the things like in-game socializing and player-driven stuff, but honestly, I just want a very self-sufficient Glitch who makes everything herself.

I play with a laptop and trackpad also. Assuming your laptop has buttons below the trackpad, this might help:
The trick I've found with the foxes is to find a preserve where there are several glitches already with a lot of bait strewn around. Position your glitch in a bush but near enough to an open patch of ground so that you can see the fox run across. Put your brush in an inventory slot that is directly below the open patch. Click and hold on the brush - as long as you don't drag it out of your inventory too early, it won't get impatient and "fail". When the fox appears, drag the brush up and release.
Alternatively, hire me (Peech) as a semi-pro fox brusher*, and I will deliver fibre in trade for... something else. XD
*Also available as on-demand semi-pro mourner, for when you die in those awkward locations.

I will trade fiber for any cubimals I don't have!

The bait-related time-limit is frustrating. I hope they'll tweak it.

I'm hoping, given the amount of feedback about it, that they will also come up with a keyboard way to do fox brushing.

I haven't logged in long enough to look for foxes or sloths yet, but I mean to!

I haven't seen sloths yet! I am hoping to do so soon!

Which is probably bad because I'm really pretty full up on casual web games at the moment. Still. When I get tired of outpacing Echo Bazaar's content . . .

Glitch is an online MMORPG, but apparently very atypical? As in you can choose to fight or kill things, but I think you really have to go and actively look for that. Mostly it's petting trees and pigs and planting and harvesting and crafting stuff. I don't know if it's a casual game or not, though I know people who just randomly drop in every so often.
I kind of just find it really relaxing because of the writing, which is very quirky (http://www.glitch.com/items/famous-pugilist-grill/) and the sound effects (the trees sigh happily when you pet them).
Haha, not to get you into more stuff! Just FYI, I have an invite if you ever want ;).
