Done with finals, yay! *collapses* I think I did ok, but of course, I may very well have overlooked the completely obvious, especially with regards to combinatorics. But who cares now! Two weeks of no class! I anticipate much anime watching.

Tatami kimono people, I checked out more options at the local yarn store and will be posting about that later. sophia_helix was also nice enough to volunteer, so if any of you don't want to wait for me to knit something up, feel free to email her. Just let me know so I won't pester you for yarn and whatnot. I've already bought the pattern and am waiting for them to ship it to me.

In rattie news, Ren has somehow managed to lose not just one, but both of his upper incisors. I am just as boggled as you. I told rilina this, and got a tentative: "How smart... uh... So... rat-wise, how does Ren rate on the intelligence scale?"

"Er," I said. "Er, yeah...."

I am hoping that they grow back, as the poor guy can't eat anything too solid right now, and I'm hoping his lower incisors don't grow sideways or something completely wonky like that. He is currently on an emergency diet of quinoa, as I had some leftover in the pantry. Enough protein for humans, probably good for rats, I figure.

But really. Both teeth? WTF?!

The tatami kimono looked really tempting when I clicked on your link to the yarn last week. I'm still tempted. But I'm a very, very beginner. So I'm going to wait and see.

I'm guessing that it's a fairly easy pattern to follow; it looks like a lot of stockinette, zero to no shaping, and not much seaming either. But I will blog about it as I go too.

Maybe Ren is trying to imitate my lizard? She doesn't have her two upper buck teeth because of a dumb accident...thankfully, they're only (?) baby teeth.

Hee! Ren-lizard combination! Also, Ren totally hates me now because I keep trying to open his mouth to check on his teeth and he flails and squeaks pathetically and tries to push me off with his paws, all to no avail.

Do you think he might lap up some yoghurt? That's something I've seen recommended for sick bunnies (we have two rabbits).

And you could mash up some strawberries or other soft fruit.
