The hooded one is a little more courageous than the brown one, who is very skittish and shy. The hooded one will amazingly sit still for the camera while the brown guy runs around sniffing everything and jumping at every other noise.
Hmm... Sanzo and Goku?
Ran and Meow?
Have you ever seen Tsukikage Ran? (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carried_by_the_Wind:_Tsukikage_Ran)
It's a fun series about two female wandering martial artists. <3
I voted Doumeki and Watanuki based on this line from the description: "The hooded one will amazingly sit still for the camera while the brown guy runs around sniffing everything and jumping at every other noise." It seemed to suit them.
The new rats are ridiculously cute. I voted for Gundam pilot names, but now I'm having second thoughts because I wouldn't want your rats to go insane or get too angsty.
I was tempted by the Gundam pilots, but my brain broke when I thought, "Does Oyce really want to slash her rats? Who are brothers?" So I went with my own suggestion.
Second vote, if I had one, would have gone to Ed and Al.
I know! I am very tempted by Doumeki/Watanuki, actually, because hooded rat has proved to be much better at being still, but I am not sure how to nickname them...
Where are my tickyboxes? I also support the Doumeki and Watanuki naming system. Mostly I don't know who these other people are, which I'm sure is terrible of me.
They make me want to get rats, even though with a cat who has to have baby latches on every cupboard and alarm bells on closet doors, small animals are contraindicated for their own safety in this apt. But they make me fondly remember reading with a rat asleep on my shoulder...

Then again, it's not like Ed and Al are angst-free ;).
