Didn't do much today except watch lots of Stargate and Buffy. Doppelgangland may be one of my favorite Buffy episodes ever... third time watching in about a month, and it's still incredibly hilarious. ("Bitch..." "Well look at me. I'm all ... fuzzy.") Love Evil!Willow so very much.

I feel like I'm on vacation because there's nothing really to think about! I mean, I'm still kind of worried that the printers will screw up my thesis tomorrow. But then, all I have is some two page book review and a final for a really easy class this week. None of this endless worrying about the thesis! This is excellent.

Stargate.. still not sure what to think. The writing could definitely use some help. And I think I'm too used to Buffy now. Every time they get into a horribly scary situation, I except a voice that sounds like Buffy to just shrug off and say something like, "Meh. Been there, done that. Even died twice!" I'm really going to miss Buffy...

Maybe I'll get into it more if I know there are quality episodes waiting. Anyone around here a Stargate fan? Any recs as to good Stargate fanfic? And despite not being a slasher, Jack and Daniel are so slashy.

I have been known to watch Stargate on occasion - I am pretty sure I'll get more into it later this year because Future Flatmate likes Stargate (will not watch Buffy, however). She has tapes and DVDs and I can catch up with it then. It's not BtVS or AtS, but I enjoy it!

Oooo very nice... right now my friend just has the first two seasons on DVD. So I might try getting into Farscape too.

I've only watched a random Stargate ep here and there, but I hear it's very good. I dunno, maybe you have to get used to the SG-1 style, I'm sure it's very different from Buffy.

And you're right about Jack/Daniel being slashy. I don't read much SG fanfic, slash or otherwise, but try "The Scarab" by BK the irregular (http://archive.shriftweb.org/archive/15/thescarab.html). It's a BtVS/SG crossover, and Jack/Sam. Nice use of the Buffy ensemble but set Season 4 -- so if you hate Riley, you might wanna avoid! =)

Ooo thanks for the rec! Personally, no real opinion of Riley.. only seen about two or three Riley eps, and he seemed pretty normal... Jack/Sam sounds good. I'm trying very hard to like Sam, because she's the token female, and that's just how I work (witness my Eowyn worship!)
