Buffy - The Prom

Just watched "The Prom" for the first time... Yay! Buffy got a happy prom! And am I silly because I actually started tearing up when Jonathan presented the Class Protector award? And hee! It's Andrew's brother!

Can't believe I'm almost done with season 3. Have to admit, it's a great season all around, with the Buffy/Angel angst (and me a Spuffy shipper), Willow, Xander and everyone. And I love geek Wes. Oooo also loved the moment when Xander buys Cordy the dress... and her response to "You look good": "Well, duh!" I miss old Cordy very much.

Want to watch the finale right now! But it's too late and I should go to bed =(.

"The Prom" is fantastic, though unfortunately I don't have it on tape so haven't seen it for some time. Actually, Season 3 is pretty much my favourite season. Perfect mix of angst and humour, all the characters are pretty much likable, and we get Faith and Wes! Also, I'm a B/A 'shipper :) And the one episode Spike is in is actually fun and doesn't make it All About Spike, which helps!

Oh I just finished Graduation Day, and season 3 is definitely one of my favorites as well. I find it kind of funny that I like Angel much better on his own show than on Buffy, but that's probably because he gets to be more than the love of Buffy's life. And the moment in GD when all the students whip aside their robes to show that they're armed.... so cool! I also heart dork Wes so very much, and I love the fact that I can see how he has the same mindset of Wes now -- greater good (Buffy shouldn't sacrifice herself for Angel). I felt so bad for him when he was fired by Buffy =(. And I adore the Faith/Mayor relationship. Ahhhh =).

Wes is my favourite character. I think he's the most consistently written/acted regular character on both shows. Yeah, I like Angel better on his own show, but I still think Angel is the best guy for Buffy (though I'm not so sure vice versa, I actually think Angel/Darla was the best fit). Love the students with the axes and flamethrowers! Poor Larry and Snyder though. The Mayor is my favourite villain after Angelus, he's just so Wholesome America :)

Surprisingly, I think Wes has just gone over Spike as my favorite character. Wow... just really realized. I used to adore Spike, but I guess I haven't been all that caught up in his soul thing lately, and Wes, from dork Wes to dark Wes, has remained fascinating. I actually have very weird mixy feelings about the B/A relationship... kind of a kneejerk reaction from the Spuffy shipper in me, a feeling that Buffy almost loves him too much (this is highly influenced by my just having watched him drinking from her in GD), and a general disinterest in Angel's psyche on Buffy. It's kind of weird, but I don't quite get why Buffy loves Angel.

I adore the Mayor! And his scenes with Faith especially, when he breaks down at the hospital and when he sees her in her pretty dress. I was a little scared that they were going to be "Oh, he's evil now, he doesn't care about her anymore. He was just using her." and they didn't, which made me happy.
