Snow. Again.
This stupid state needs to make up its mind and stop being schizophrenic. It's April! It's spring! There are little tulip leaves and daffodils sprouting everywhere! What's with the snow?!
Need to move to California as soon as possible.
Still chugging along on this thesis chapter, damnit. Thank goodness the boy finished Zelda yesterday, or else who only knows what I would be doing instead of writing. Of course, it's probably the whole push to finish Zelda that was highly detrimental to the writing of the thesis. It would be nice if I had some sort of motivation...

Yes. Yes, you do. Everybody does.
Wait -- no -- that would result in there being even more traffic jams. So only cool fun people like you can come. *g*

I've seen it snow later in the year than this. It actually looks really cool when it sticks and it's sitting on top of all that green, with blooming crocuses and daffodils standing up out of the snow. They're tough flowers, it's all right.
And anyway, it's not just NJ, it's the whole east coast from NJ north. Snowing here, too, a bit.

"Jared, we hate your state!" "No! You LOVE my state!" "Er... if by love, you mean hate?"
I think after having lived on a subtropical island for half my life, New England weather has about defeated me. Although I will miss New England autumns and springs so very, very much. The drive from here to New Hope in the autumn was the closest to Robert Frost and his poetry I've ever felt. So very gorgeous.

He truly understands what it means to be from NJ. *tear*
But technically, NJ is not New England. NJ is the unique and utopian hub between NYC, New England, Pennsyltucky -- oh, I mean Pennsylvania -- and The South. It is definitely not New England, because that friend who moved from MA when he was ten? Spent every.fucking.winter. bitching about how he misses New England winters, with real snow! Shut up, Eric. We had plenty of snow before YOU moved here. And see, now he's away at school? Cold winter again.
NJ is all the prettiness of New England, without the impossibly rocky soil or too-long winters. NJ winters are JUST THE RIGHT LENGTH, every year. Every year!
NJ pride, dude. I {heart} jughandles and Wawas. EVERYONE should see the wisdom of jughandles and Wawas. Pure genius.
I so need a NJ pride icon. Hmmm.

I love the Wawas! They're the only thing open on campus 24/7, which means huge lines at 2-4 in the morning. Doh! Now I have a craving for Wa mac and cheese.
