Alias 3x11 Full Disclosure

Whoo!! My girl is back!

Yup, one full minute of Lauren ;).

I hope she's evil and hooks up with Sark. Or something. But you know they're just doing this so they can break up her and Vaughn without people thinking Vaughn is scummy and two-timing so he and Sydney can get back together.

Am I the only person who likes Lauren? I feel like she's the kind of Eve of the show. Or Kennedy.

Other than that, not quite as good of a WTF episode as the S1 finale, Phase One or the S2 finale. Lots of exposition. But I feel justified in liking Kendall now. And I would like to know, where was Jack during all of this? Have I forgotten something important during the hiatus, like him being in jail again or something?

My reaction to next week's preview: Oh who cares!

Am I the only person who likes Lauren?

Well, I'll put it this way, I was just about to start liking Lauren, when she shot the guy two episodes back, but now my initial feelings of yuckiness for her are back in full swing, and I'm glad, because the world is back the way it should be. Honestly, though, J.J. Abrams supposedly plots these things out very, very early. I doubt that Lauren wasn't always going to turn out to be evil. And I'm personally very interested to see what part she played in the puzzle. Was she hired by the Covenant to make sure that if "Julia" ever did try to return to her previous life she would find that link, her one true love, taken by another and so have nowhere to turn? Or is it even more complex? Does she have a heart about any of this (for example, did she really feel bad for Sydney so help her escape a few weeks back, or did she have an ulterior motive?) or is she completely evil? I for one can't wait to find out, but I do not want any Sark/Lauren smoochage. His heart is for Allison alone! ;o)

I dunno... I still like Lauren. I think part of it is rooting for the underdog, part my personal reaction to really disliking S/V and part because I just like her. I'm a sucker for the kind of cool, stand-offish heroine (not that she's a heroine). And then there's the British accent. And I felt bad for her because everyone was going to hate her because she was Vaughn's wife.

Heh, I swear, I casually ship everything in Alias except incesty Bristow stuff and Sydney/Vaughn. It's so weird because it's so different from the way I watch other shows!

I like Lauren too. I was predisposed to like her, cuz I adored the actor on the short-lived Thieves. I'm excited about the potential for her character with her being evil.

And yea, I too was wondering where Jack was. He's gonna kill Kendall when he finds out Kendall knew Syd was alive all along.

Yay!! I really desperately want to watch Thieves now! I went on a Lauren-iconning spree a while back and ended up just iconning a ton of old Melissa George pics because I couldn't find that many Alias shots with Lauren. I love the Thieves promo pics, and the description of the premise sounded absolutely awesome to me. Melissa George as a sexy thief in stilettos ^_^. Yum.

Dude, Jack is so not going to be happy. Sigh. He definitely should have been there.

I even like not-evil Lauren -- probably because I am a goody-two shoes and get the going by the rules thing ^_^.

Vaughn? I washed my hands of Vaughn a long time ago. Although, how much time passed before Sydney was crushing on Vaughn after the death of Danny?

But heh, like most people with Lauren, I think she's ten times more interesting now that she's evil.

No! I wanted to, but she kept doing the "champ" thing and the buddy buddy thing and I wanted to kick her.

Most likely, he was off pursuing the leads about what happened to Sydney, with Irina, that lead to him being jailed. By the time Syd contacted Kendall, it was already at least six months after the Covenant got her. Jack was put in jail a year before Syd "woke up" in Hong Kong. So the actions that lead to his arrest had to have occurred in that second six month period.

Oh, not during the missing two years, but during the tracking of the box and the toasting of Sydney's eggs mission. I guess maybe he was doing other stuff? But it was just weird that we didn't get to see Sydney tell him she had found out what happened to her and that he didn't go on the mission. I can't remember if he did something prior to the break that would have him on non-active duty.

I just checked my tape of the episode, and there was nothing early on, before Kendall "kidnapped" Syd, that implied Jack would be going on a mission or anything like that. And there was no mention of him later. I'm guessing either (a) there was a line about his whereabouts that was cut for some reason or (b) they'll explain this next week. Or it could be both, I guess. Either way, I hope we do find out.

Huh. I keep wanting to say maybe Victor Garber's on his honeymoon, ala Alexis Denisof.

I hope there's a Jack and Kendall tension scene re Kendall not telling Jack or Sydney about this.
