Your daemon is a hooded rat! In fact, I think Fool-rat is your daemon.

Because you are small and sleek and curious, and have a disproportionately large brain, but are easily distracted by offers of food and warmth and other material comforts and activities. Also, your nose twitches when you get excited.

Mrf. The only problem with that is that people with rat daemons are Pullman's equivalent of Ensign Redshirt.

That just proves that Pullman does not appreciate the wonder and glory that is the rat.

Hee, I like that! I keep imagining a very large, purple hippopotamus in a tutu, probably because of Fantasia.

Although if I really had a hippo daemon, it would probably be very difficult keeping it in the apartment without disturbing the neighbors.

See, I hate answering this question because Pullman makes really awesome people have really awesome daemons, like fucking snow leopards, so if I say "An adorable robin!" then it sounds like you sweep streets for a living.

I was going to say a bird, because you are bright-eyed and curious, but no, you are also sleek and cuddly, which birds aren't. Rat seems close, but not quite right -- something a little larger and more luxurious. Like a snow weasel, or an ermine like Pan, I think. Maybe a ferret. But I definitely see it as having a white winter coat.

I don't want to make a post because very few of my friends have read Pullman -- do me! :)

I think I see you as a leaping creature, something in the trees up in the canopy. A flying squirrel, I think, nocturnal with huge eyes, swooping from one branch to the next, now high now low. Attentive, careful about predators but bold with gravity, the sort that curls up in a knothole come winter.

You are really good at this. I'm finding that it's a lot easier to do if I know people in person, because then I have body language associations.

Oh, I like that! Maybe I could have a flying rat, if such things exissted.
