Wah! I am roommate-less! Woe!

In other news, there is no real news on this end. I have been cooking for two weeks now (amazing!), and the sink is full of dirty dishes. There was mahjong and heckling yesterday, played [livejournal.com profile] fannishly's way, which is more fun. I almost won once, which is better than I normally do. I am absolutely wretched at mahjong, but I love it anyway. I also want to know what rules the guys in Saiyuki go by, just because.

Recipe plans for the week:
- more oatmeal?
- more polenta?
- ma po tofu
- gingerbread for people at work
- yogurt sauce for holiday potluck at work
- more scones!

Me and my sister are also cooking for my parents for Christmas (technically, the day after). It's my present. My mom called yesterday and asked, in a slight panic, "We're not doing the unwrapping of presents on Christmas, right?"

"Uh. I didn't get you anything!"

"Oh, ok, good."

My family doesn't so much do Christmas...

[livejournal.com profile] rachelmanija, [livejournal.com profile] chi_zu, I got the cards, thank you!!

So I have to figure out what we're doing for that, so we can get groceries. I also just realized that Christmas is on a Sunday, which means the farmer's market probably isn't open that day. Woe!

Otherwise, plans for the week sans-roommate pre-familial arrival include cleaning for said familial arrival, knitting, cooking, reading, watching lots of TV, and wasting all my time on the internet. Yay lazing around!

Yay! I am glad it got there safely!

You're welcome!

Thank you so much for the CDs! I love them to bits and have been playing them over and over and over in my car. I think my favorite parts are the start to middle of # 3, that has "Brown Eyed Girl" by Everclear and "Buttercup," and the middle to end of # 4, starting with "Born to Hum" and going on to that fabulous Thea Gilmore song and "Bad Day." (You see what a horrible memory I have for song titles when I don't have the CD in front of me.)

So, are there happy mixes 1 and 2?
