I think that was African jazz? Though honestly, I have no idea and am just going by what the choreographer says. Also, I am not quite sure what exactly constitutes African jazz, as I sort of know about African influences in dance, thanks to obsessively reading up on Lindy hop, but I haven't ever seen various African and African-influenced American dances (i.e. cakewalk).
